On April 22, 2024, UnitedHealth Group issued a press release, providing an update on the Change Healthcare cybersecurity incident that occurred on Feb. 21, 2024. Given the size of the data impacted, the investigation to determine whose data is impacted is expected to take several months. UnitedHealth Group believes this situation will impact “a substantial proportion of people in America” and is offering immediate credit monitoring and identity protection services, as well as a dedicated contact center to address questions. Join us for a Behavioral Health Town Hall! Provider Account Managers will be hosting this event to go over important billing reminders, authorization processes and other tips to make working with us easy. We will review key processes for Superior HealthPlan Medicaid (STAR, STAR Health, STAR Kids, STAR PLUS), CHIP and Ambetter by Superior HealthPlan.

This Town Hall is also an opportunity for Superior to gather valuable feedback from network providers about processes and interactions with Superior Departments. Provider feedback that will be requested includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:

  • Billing and Payment
  • Prior Authorizations
  • Health Passport
  • Issue Escalation/Resolution
