Effective 04/22/24: Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Medical Supplies Online Platform

Date: 04/04/24

Superior HealthPlan is pleased to announce the availability of an easy-to-use, online ordering platform for Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Medical Supplies (DME-POS). Superior’s partnership with Tomorrow Health offers an online platform which facilitates quality care through electronic submission, tracking and access to physician orders for DME-POS. This solution is available to Superior’s existing provider network, serving members in the Bexar service area, and automatically matches the appropriate DME-POS supplier to medically necessary DME-POS orders.

Effective April 22, 2024, the platform will be available to all DME suppliers and referring providers serving Medicaid (STAR, STAR Health, STAR+PLUS, STAR Kids), CHIP and STAR+PLUS Medicaid-Medicare Plan (MMP) members in the Bexar service area, which includes the following counties:

  • Atascosa
  • Bandera
  • Bexar
  • Comal
  • Guadalupe
  • Kendall
  • Medina
  • Wilson

Through this program, ordering providers are able to:

  • Submit physician orders online or via fax.
  • Track orders and communicate with DME-POS suppliers.
  • Gain visibility into DME-POS order status.

To improve the home-based care experience for Superior’s members, DME-POS suppliers will receive orders for DME-POS items through the online platform, eliminating the incidence of incomplete orders and directing orders to a supplier that is able to immediately fulfill the requested item. To get stared, please see below.
