Superior approves, adopts, and promotes clinical practice guidelines to practitioners in an effort to improve health care quality and reduce unnecessary variation in care for its enrolled Members. These evidence-based guidelines are known to be effective in improving health outcomes and are adopted from recognized sources. Superior’s clinical practice guidelines, Adult/Pediatric preventive health guidelines and guidelines for prenatal care are available on our website (www.superiorhealthplan.com). All guidelines are annually reviewed for updating and or when new scientific evidence or national standards are published, approved by Superior’s Quality Improvement Committee, and disseminated to providers via the Provider Newsletters, and targeted mailings.
