Tips and Tricks for a Safe Halloween
Date: 10/17/23
Halloween is a great time to show off your creativity with your costume and spend time with your family and friends. We have gathered a few tips to help make your Halloween a fun and safe holiday.
Walk with your child. Teach them to look both ways before crossing the street. Be on the lookout for cars backing out of driveways and try to avoid busy roadways when trick-or-treating.
Inspect your candy. If you decide to take your child trick-or-treating, check to make sure that all candy is completely wrapped and has not been tampered with. If your child has food allergies, check the ingredients of their candy.
Wear bright, reflective colors. Colorful costumes are not only fun, but they are great for making your child visible to any cars that may pass by, especially at night.
Carry a flashlight. In addition to wearing bright colors, carrying a glow stick or flashlight is a good way to be more visible to cars that may pass by.
