Provider Training Opportunities and Special Events

Superior HealthPlan would like to remind providers, we offer monthly webinars for all of our products including Superior Medicaid (STAR, STAR Health, STAR Kids, and STAR+PLUS), CHIP, STAR+PLUS Medicare-Medicaid Plan (MMP), Wellcare By Allwell and Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan. These trainings cover plan-specific information, member’s benefits, claims filing, and prior authorization requirements.

Superior conducts specialized provider trainings on a variety of topics to include, but not limited to:

  • Cultural Competency
  • Electronic Visit Verification
  • Billing Clinics (Medicaid Products, Behavioral Health, Long-Term Services and Support)

In addition to the monthly trainings, providers can access the on-demand Model of Care training, which is a CMS annual requirement for Medicare providers. To review the Model of Care training and attestation information, please visit Superior’s Model of Care webpage.

Provider Special Events

Superior’s Account Management team conducts quarterly meetings called Provider Advisory Groups (PAGs) to gather valuable feedback from providers about processes and interactions with Superior departments. In addition, Superior provides updates and education about provider resources. Superior asks providers about topics including, but not limited to

  • Member and Providers Services
  • Service Coordination
  • Prior Authorization
  • Billing and Claims

In addition to the PAGs, Account Management also conducts special townhall events. The information provided at the townhalls are specific to certain provider specialties and are conducted both face-to-face and via live webinars.
