Effective 9/1: STAR+PLUS Contract Changes

Superior HealthPlan would like to remind providers that STAR+PLUS contract changes will be effective September 1, 2024. For more information, please review Superior’s STAR+PLUS: Contract Award Updates notice.

Superior members may have already received letters from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) regarding the contract changes and they may reach out to providers for guidance. For more information, providers can direct members to Superior’s Important News for Superior STAR+PLUS Members webpage.

Please Note: Members in the Dallas, Hidalgo, or Nueces Service Delivery Areas, do not need to take any action to remain a Superior member. These members can continue receiving their STAR+PLUS Medicaid coverage from Superior and disregard the letter.

Our website will have the latest updates, including information on transition authorizations that may impact you for the STAR+PLUS members that you serve. Make sure to continue to reference Superior's Provider News & Information Webpage.
