Attention: Providers in the Travis Service Delivery Area

In addition to the Central, Dallas, Hidalgo, Lubbock, Nueces, and West Service Delivery Areas (SDA), Superior HealthPlan was also awarded the STAR+PLUS contract for the Travis SDA, which includes following counties:

  • Bastrop
  • Burnet
  • Caldwell
  • Fayette
  • Hays
  • Lee
  • Travis
  • Williamson

For coverage effective 9/1/2024, members residing in the Travis SDA will have the option to select Superior as their health plan. Please reference the Important News for Superior STAR+PLUS Members webpage for the information available to members. Providers may be required to complete additional steps to continue serving their existing Superior members, based on their current Superior contract status as indicated below.

If you are currently contracted with Superior but have not executed a STAR+PLUS product attachment, please skip to the Non-Contracted STAR+PLUS Providers section of this article below for instruction. If you are currently contracted with Superior STAR+PLUS, please note the following actions:

Non-Contracted STAR+PLUS Providers

If you'd like to join Superior's network to serve STAR+PLUS members, or members that receive coverage from any of the products Superior offers, please note the following actions:

  • If you do not currently have an active contract with Superior, please request to join our network by completing Superior's Request Network Participation, Non-Contracted Providers Only Form.
  • If you have an active contract with Superior that does not include STAR+PLUS, please request to join our network by completing Superior's Add a Product to an Existing Contract Form.
  • You must ensure current enrollment status with Texas Medicaid through TMHP. To begin the enrollment process or to verify current enrollment status, please access TMHP’s PEMS webpage.
  • You must be actively enrolled with Texas Medicaid and complete Superior’s contracting and credentialing processes to be eligible for reimbursement. Providers may not provide services to Superior members for dates of service prior to their Texas Medicaid and/or Superior contract effective dates.
