On April 22, 2024, UnitedHealth Group issued a press release, providing an update on the Change Healthcare cybersecurity incident that occurred on Feb. 21, 2024. Given the size of the data impacted, the investigation to determine whose data is impacted is expected to take several months. UnitedHealth Group believes this situation will impact “a substantial proportion of people in America” and is offering immediate credit monitoring and identity protection services, as well as a dedicated contact center to address questions. ACTION REQUIRED: CMS Annual Drug Utilization Review Survey for FFY 2023

This year, the annual Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Drug Utilization Review (DUR) Survey contains a new voluntary provider survey created by the Texas Health and Human Service Commission (HHSC). This survey will assist in gathering the required data needed to report on Texas's Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) usage and meet federal reporting requirements for the following DUR Survey question:

1. The percentage of covered providers (as determined pursuant to a process established by the State) who checked the prescription drug history of a covered individual through a PDMP before prescribing a controlled substance to such an individual.

This year's survey is for data material from Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2023 (October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023). Provider participation in the survey is requested by May 14, 2024.
