Child Psychiatry Resources and Trainings

The Child Psychiatry Access Network (CPAN) is a statewide program funded by the Texas Legislature, available at no cost to primary care providers who serve children and adolescent patients. CPAN is a network of academic hubs that provide pediatric providers the following:
- Access to a licensed clinician within 5 minutes of your call:
- To request tailored resources for evaluation and ongoing care.
- For help with developing and implementing behavioral plans for common mental health issues.
- Access to a child psychiatrist within 30 minutes of your call for a consultation to help with assessing, diagnosing, implementation of treatments plans, and follow-ups.
- Training via free continuing medical education on mental health topics designed for primary care providers. Trainings are held the second Wednesday of each month, from 12:30-1:30 PM (CST). Providers can find training details and additional continuing education resources at www.childrens.com/learn.

To sign-up, complete the online enrollment form. Then once enrolled, when you need support for your patients, you can utilize the CPAN program by calling 1-888-901-CPAN (2726).
