IMPORTANT: Compliance with U.S.-Only Performance and Data Handling Requirements

As a reminder, per your contract with Superior HealthPlan and our contract with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), all work performed under your agreement must be conducted exclusively within the United States.

In addition, all information obtained through performance of the agreement must be stored and maintained within the United States. Confidential information must not be transferred outside the United States under any circumstances.

No individual is permitted to access information, systems, or deliverables remotely from a location outside the United States. This includes, but is not limited to, any access to HHSC information or systems.

This requirement applies to all services, including but not limited to:

  • Information Technology (IT) services
  • Data processing, transmission, storage, archiving and data center operations
  • Disaster recovery sites and services
  • Customer support
  • Medical, dental, laboratory, and clinical services

Any violation of these provisions will be considered a breach of your contract and may result in Superior utilizing remedies including contract termination. Providers will also be liable to Superior for any monetary damages incurred.
