NEW: Texas Hospital Initiative for Opioid Use Disorder and Addiction

Superior HealthPlan recognizes the importance of treating the whole person, and that by providing support for substance use disorder treatment, the overall health of each person can be improved. Superior would like to share the latest information on an upcoming initiative available to hospital providers. Texas Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (TxMOUD) partnered with the Buprenorphine Team (B-Team) at Dell Medical School – The University of Texas at Austin to launch the Support Hospital Opioid Use Disorder Treatment (SHOUT) program.
The B-Team is entering its third year of providing access to acute care for patients with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), and would like to share their best practices with providers. The SHOUT program offers free resources for Texas hospitals including a webinar series, virtual office hours and an information session on grants and consulting available to Texas hospitals.

- Interactive Webinar Series
- This series gives interprofessional hospital practitioners the opportunity to apply new knowledge in delivering OUD care.

- May 20: Interprofessional Care, Discharge Planning and Community Engagement

- SHOUT Texas hosts monthly virtual office hours, with national experts that provide direct coaching.
