Effective 1/1/24: New Pharmacy Benefit Manager

Effective January 1, 2024, Express Scripts will serve as Superior HealthPlan’s new Pharmacy Benefit Manager and begin processing pharmacy claims. Please ensure this update is noted for your practice and staff. Superior members have been notified and received a new ID card, effective January 1, 2024, in advance of this change. This transition means that members will need to use their new ID card to get prescription drugs beginning on January 1, 2024.

The following pharmacy information has been updated on the 2024 Superior member ID card:

RXGRP: 2FDA
PBM: Express Scripts

Please note:

  • Members can continue to get their prescriptions filled at any participating Superior network pharmacy.
  • For a member’s specific prescription processing information or other help with a claim, please visit the Express Scripts Pharmacist Resource Center at https://prc.express-scripts.com.
    • For assistance processing a claim, please call the Express Scripts Pharmacy Help Desk at 1-833-750-4508.
  • Providers can direct members to call the Member Services number listed on the back of their ID card for any questions about this change.
