2021-2022 Value-added Services Update

Superior offers additional services for our members beyond the traditional Medicaid and CHIP benefits. These services are referred to as Value-added Services (VAS). VAS may be actual health-care services, benefits or positive incentives that Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) determines will promote healthy lifestyles and improve health outcomes.

Some of these extra services include:

• Expanded vision benefits
• Over-the-counter items
• Sports/camp physicals

VAS are updated annually and are effective September 1 – August 31 each year. Members can find the most up-to-date list of Value-added Services on our website under Value-added Services.
