Reminder: Minimum Wage for Attendants in Community Settings

As a reminder, the minimum base wage paid to a personal attendant increased from $8.00 per hour to $8.11 per hour on September 1, 2019. Superior updated our system to reflect the reimbursement rate increase for facilities, agencies and Consumer Directed Services (CDS) employers that provide attendant services in community settings to pay attendants at or above the $8.11 per hour rate. This requirement applies to the following types of Superior Medicaid (STAR+PLUS) services:

• Community First Choice (CFC)
  • Personal Attendant Services (PAS) and Habilitation (HAB) services;
  • PAS CDS & HAB CDS services;
• Primary Home Care (PHC)/PAS
  • PAS waiver and Services Responsibility Option (SRO) waiver
  • PAS CDS waiver
  • PAS non-waiver and SRO non-waiver
  • PAS non-waiver CDS
• Daily Activity and Health Services (DAHS)
• Assisted Living/Residential Care
