2023-2024 Value-Added Services Update

Superior HealthPlan offers additional services for our members beyond the traditional Medicaid (STAR, STAR Health, STAR Kids, STAR+PLUS) and CHIP benefits. These services are referred to as Value-added Services (VAS). VAS may be actual health-care services, benefits or positive incentives that Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) determines will promote healthy lifestyles and improve health outcomes.

Some of these extra services may include:

• Expanded vision benefits
• Over-the-counter items
• Sports/camp physicals
