2025 Patient Ratings on Provider Care

Each year, Superior HealthPlan conducts five Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) surveys for members who have Medicaid/CHIP, Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan and Wellcare By Allwell. The health plan operates under separate licenses for each:

  • Medicaid: Under two licenses, Superior HealthPlan, Inc. and Superior HealthPlan Network, with each license defined by Medicaid product and service delivery area in which it is offered.
  • Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan: Under two licenses, Celtic Insurance Company (EPO) and Superior HealthPlan, Inc. (HMO), with each license defined by how they operate.
  • Wellcare By Allwell: Under one license, Superior HealthPlan, Inc.

The CAHPS surveys ask members to rate their overall health-care experience, including interactions at their provider’s office. When members evaluate this experience, they often combine their provider interactions with their health plan encounters as well. Superior believes it is beneficial to collaborate with our provider community to enhance the member’s journey in receiving care and services.

Survey results are trended over time to evaluate against goals and improvements, analyze results with available data, including complaint, denials and appeals, and feedback from advisory groups. Typically, these results impact National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) health-plan rankings, Medicare Star ratings, Qualified Health Plan (QHP) ratings, and Superior member experience initiatives.

CAHPS surveys were completed by Medicaid/CHIP, Ambetter and Wellcare By Allwell members, under each applicable license. Please review the 2025 survey results below:


The CAHPS survey is administered annually by an external survey vendor, Press Ganey Analytics, using the survey protocol defined in current Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) Specifications.
