EVV Required Free Text Reviews Postponed for CDS Option

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHS) is postponing the Electronic Visit Verification Required Free Text Reviews for the Consumer Directed Services option starting with dates of service January 1, 2022, until further notice.

HHS will publish a notice 90 days before the effective date when EVV Required Free Text Reviews will begin.

Financial Management Services Agencies and CDS employers:

  • Must continue using EVV, including entering required free text.
  • Should review the EVV Reason Code and Required Free Text Reports found in the EVV Portal as a tool to monitor compliance.
    • For instructions on how to access and review reports in the EVV Portal, review TMHP’s EVV Job Aids found on their EVV Training webpage.
