Practice Guidelines

Superior approves, adopts and promotes clinical practice guidelines to practitioners in an effort to improve health-care quality and reduce unnecessary variation in care for its enrolled members. These evidence-based guidelines are known to be effective in improving health outcomes and are adopted from recognized sources. All guidelines are reviewed annually and when new scientific evidence or national standards are published, approved by Superior’s Quality Improvement Committee, and disseminated to providers via Superior’s Provider Newsflash (e-newsletter) and targeted mailings.
