Why A Yearly Doctor Visit Matters

Whether someone feels good or needs support, a yearly check-up helps keep people healthy, catch issues early, and get care — all at no cost.

It’s also a chance to talk with a doctor about what’s most important to you. You can ask questions and set goals.

Having Trouble Taking That First Step? We're Here to Help.

I’m young and healthy — do I really need to go?

Yes! Yearly visits help you stay healthy. Even if you feel great, your doctor can find small problems early and answer your health questions.

I don’t have time to go to the doctor.

We make it easy. Pick an in-person or virtual visit at a time that works for you.

What if I can't pay for it?

Check-ups are no cost for Superior members.

I don’t have a way to get there.

STAR, STAR Health, STAR Kids and STAR+PLUS members can get no-cost rides to and from your visit. Call us or go to our transportation webpage to learn more.

Doctors are too far away.

We’ll help you find a doctor near you or book an
online visit. Call us at the number on the back of your Superior member ID card. Or visit our Find a Provider webpage.

I’ve had trouble finding or scheduling with a doctor.

We’re here to help. Use our Find a Provider tool to search for doctors near you. We can also help you book your visit. Call us at the number on the back of your member ID card.

What if no doctors are accepting new patients?

We’ll help you find a doctor who is taking new patients and meets your needs.

I don’t have a doctor or need to change mine/my child’s.

No problem! You can change
your doctor anytime through your secure account on Superior’s Secure Member Portal. Use our Find a Provider tool to see available doctors.
